Here at SMWS 28 Queen Street, we welcome new faces and old friends. We proudly offer distinguished flavours be that whisky or food, with personable service in our relaxed, yet refined Georgian town house in the heart of the city. 

With breath-taking views over the waters if the Firth of Forth, 28 Queen Street is an impressive four-storey Georgian building, comprising of a suite of modern and elegant rooms. Our recently refurbished Members’ Room takes pride of place along with 3 function rooms available for both members and non-members to privately hire.

Each of our bars boast over 500 exclusive single malts from across Scotland (and beyond), which can be paired with the finest craft beers, artisanal spirits, cocktails and wines. Our range of menus are available to take you from a light bar snack, seasonal light lunch to our gastronomic 5 course taster menu.

28 Queen Street also hosts a busy programme of colourful whisky tasting experiences, Outturn previews, one-off whisky events and masterclasses – there’s something for everyone. View our weekly tasting events here. 

5 Course Taster Menu: Our exclusive taster menu experience is available for members to book within our members lounge, bookings can be made up to 48 hours in advance for Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 12 noon until 8pm. The taster menu is £110.00 per person paired with your choice of either whisky or wine on each course. A deposit of £50.00 per person is taken at the time of booking. (non refundable). This is a package option, it is not possible to book without the whisky or wine pairing.

Tables of 6+: We can accept table of 6+ within the members lounge (multiple members must be present to comply with the up to 3 guests on 1 card rule) and in the Kaleidoscope public bar. A deposit of £10.00 per person is required at the time of booking (non refundable).

Dress Code: We would ask that members refrain from wearing flipflops within the members lounge and shorts should be tailored knee length.

Please Note: The Dining Room at 28 Queen Street closed in December 2019 - dining reservations for members, will be in one of our member lounges, dining for non members will be in our Kaleidoscope Bar. 

We strongly recommend booking to avoid disappointment.

Our venues are all over 18's only, unless booking a private function room.

ITISON Workshop - If you purchased an ITISON Workshop voucher prior to lockdown, your voucher has been extended until the end of November 2021. Our Workshops are now available to book by calling 0131 220 2044 Workshops will take place on Tuesday's at 7pm and Saturday's at 12.30pm.
