"Scotland’s distilling tradition dates back centuries, with some of the oldest distilleries still
producing excellent whisky to this day. The last couple of decades have seen a flurry of activity,
with new distilleries founded, each looking to continue that legacy. Our “New Wave” Creators
Collection explores and celebrates some of these modern pioneers and provides members with
a taste of what’s to come. We’ve worked with many of these newer distilleries from day one,
filling our own casks in anticipation. Here were present some cracking drams for all to enjoy. The
future looks bright!"

"Fortified wine casks are ideally suited to the maturation of Scotch whisky, and at the Society
we are great advocates of the sherry cask. In our “Fortified” collection, we go further afield to
explore casks from halfway around the world. A selection of whiskies matured in Australian
fortified wine casks. We cover Tawny (one to try if you enjoy Port cask matured whiskies),
Muscat (perhaps you have tried whisky matured in Moscatel casks before? Here’s one for you),
and incredibly rare, fortified Chardonnay casks (quite frankly indescribably beautiful and rich,
golden raisin whisky here). Join us to expand your cask horizons and experience something
truly special."

“This collection celebrates the powerful and medicinal nature of West Coast peat. We have selected a variety of expressions from Islay along with some similarly robust whisky from the Isle of Mull. These phenol-packed casks cover a spectrum from deeply tropical fruit and smoke through to intense carbolic character. There’s so much flavour diversity to be found in this collection, in both spirit style and cask type. A real celebration of peat.”

“This trio provides a fascinating glimpse into the world of worm tub condensers. Here we have three whiskies from the same region, in the same flavour profile, yet each with their unique take on this old style of condenser. In each case, the maturation journey has imbued the whiskies with autumnal fruits, think bruised apples with brown sugar. These weightier spirits stand up well to such cask types, with their oily, nutty spirit character shining through. For me, the worm tubs add a deep and robust bass line, upon which the complex elements of each dram can be built.”

The Society’s Creators Collection, Whispers of Spring: A journey of reawakening, captures the subtle yet powerful energy of the season.
Each of the four bottles in the collection is designed to take you on a sensory journey, offering a unique take on traditional flavours. These casks have been left to mature to perfection over decades in refill wood. The result is a story of transformation and renewal that’s focussed on distinctive character rather than distillery history.

Homecoming: the essence of heritage is the second release from this series. It pairs the liquid art of whisky making with the illustrations of Leith-based artist, Shona Hardie, the artist behind Endless Discoveries, Infinite Adventures in The Vaults. The Homecoming collection is a tribute to the Society’s heritage, celebrating our spiritual home at The Vaults and its place within the history of Leith.
Each of the four bottles in the collection draws on the senses, connecting members to the past while embracing The Vaults in its present and future forms. Every sip is a celebration of tradition, offering a deeper connection with the Society.
