Smoky TCP to a tee

First comment was “like the last embers and ashes of a burnt whisky cask” followed by dark chimney soot, smoked apples and smoked blood oranges as well as “TCP to a tee”! The taste reminded us of a savoury American-style pancake with burnt chorizo and bacon and salty chilly butter, all served with sweet and savoury smoked strawberry sauce. After we added water, a pomander was floating in a vat of smoked mulled whisky as the palate turned surprisingly fruity; black grapes, dark cherries and a smoky boat cocktail using smoky whisky, calvados, apple juice vanilla syrup and aromatic bitters.
