Tasting Notes
A sweet and floral nose, the Panel agreed upon first nosing. We detected heather flowers and heather honey, along with aged mead, camphor, lemon oil and firmer hints of mineral oil. With water we got a slab of madeira fruit loaf, plus lemon cordial, barley water, spiced custard and tea tree oil. The neat palate was full of fir wood resins, white chocolate, sweet dessert wines and fruit cordials. We also got a wee hint of bubblegum and a warming note of white pepper. Reduction brought out toffee apple, overly ripe banana, white stout, barley sugars and sweetened cinnamon breakfast cereals.
