We imagined an old fashioned, antique, solid mahogany wood secreter and as we opened a drawer, we discovered an immaculate set of silver cutlery freshly cleaned and polished while in another drawer, we found a vintage Italian leather writing pad. On the palate like a full-bodied Malbec wine known for its plump, dark fruit flavours and a hint of a hickory smoky finish. After reduction, the nose had an intriguing hint of pipe tobacco, cinnamon and smoked almonds while to taste smoked paprika chicken with toasted hazelnut picada. After nine years in an ex-bourbon hogshead, we transferred this whisky into a 1st fill Oloroso hogshead.
