Tasting Notes
Bellows of peat smoke wrapped around juicy watermelon and singed seaweed like ointment-soaked bandages from a farmer's first aid kit. The air became thick with coal tar soap and the freshness of muscle rub while we opened a packet of crunchy bacon crisps. On the tongue, an intensely medicinal tone paved the way for toothpaste and thyme-infused olive oil before smoked chicken breast was served with charcoal crackers. A drop of water unveiled meaty aromas of pastrami and smoked ham, served with pickled gherkins and soft fudge. Fragrant floral smoke and flowering heather now drifted by, embracing singed thyme and peppery herbs on the finish.
