“Age is just a number; maturity is what matters” – here we had both in abundance! Imagine dark chocolate macaroons with a tiny sprinkling of chipotle chilli powder to create, on the palate, that heavenly medley of sweet bitter chocolate, a subtle spiciness next to delicate hints of smokiness which got as all singing and dancing. A drop of water and the aroma was, as one of my colleagues from generation Y always states, “that is so 90’s”; old school desk, graphite, wax crayons – not sure what those millennials imagine school was like in the 1990’s, but the taste was now super smooth, super sweet and beautifully honeyed - Ma-ma-ma- macarena, hey Macaroon-a!
