The Gathering 2023 World Record Attempt for: The World’s Biggest Virtual Whisky Tasting
As part of our 40th Anniversary celebrations, we’re attempting to achieve a Guinness World Record for the largest online whisky tasting. The 45 minute, three dram tasting (50mls each) will be held on Saturday 30 September 2023 at 2pm BST.
As the world’s biggest whisky club, let’s celebrate our 40th Anniversary in style with all of our members around the world getting together for a special tasting that goes beyond borders. It’s always 5 o’clock somewhere.
This is going to be monumental.

DRAMS: Enjoy double measures (50mls each)
1. Cask No. 39.244 Tutti Frutti in a Wooden Bowl, (US: Sunshine in a wooden bowl) an 11-year-old whisky from the SMWS Juicy Oak & Vanilla flavour profile
2. Cask No. 55.78 What a Spread!, a 13-year-old rich and sweet bottling from a Speyside distillery, with tasting notes of “spiced toffee, creme brulee and a touch of fresh oak”
3. Cask No. Batch 15 Smokus Fruticosus, a blended malt comprised of malt whiskies from the islands of Islay & Orkney.
