Tasting Notes
The nose delivers pink wafers and vanilla, plentiful fruit (mango, citrus, raspberry ripple, pineapple) and hints of straw and oak. The palate gets you right in the gills – mango skins, coconut, honey and sherbet lemons, followed by cedar wood, pink peppercorns, mace and quinine. The reduced nose balances Turkish delight, raspberry jam tarts, nougat and peaches in syrup – against peeled willow twigs, almond oil and orange zest. The reduced palate finds puff candy, malt extract and honey granola sweetness but a stronger vibe of chewed pencil ends, Earl Grey tea, grapefruit and various woody spices (cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, anise), especially in the aftertaste.
