Tasting Notes

The nose is a fruiterer’s market barrow (green apple, pineapple, gooseberries, etc.) displayed outside a candy store (foam bananas, marshmallows, Pick 'n' Mix and popcorn). The palate is certainly sweet – honey, banoffee pie, nougat, orange fruit pastilles – but spice hints (cardamom latte) and teasing bitterness (sour green apple, lime) make the whole experience quite special. We found it subdued by water, at least temporarily – the nose finds stewed rhubarb and caramelised bananas, heather sprigs and potpourri, glacé cherries and gummi bears. The palate gets banana bread, porridge, burnt sugar, Softmints and then quince jelly and lime juice on the finish.
