A rather peachy aroma greeted the panel, peach yoghurt, peach stones and a kiss of peach schnapps as well. Then dried apricot, toasted almonds and gorse flower. With reduction it seemed to double down on these more estery exotic and green fruit vibes, along with some warm custard and rice pudding. The neat palate was like the components of a flapjack assembling: oats, honey, sultanas, dried cranberries and a touch of cinnamon powder. Dilution once again elevated the riper fruit aspects with hints of gooseberry and baked apple alongside some more assertive wood spices.
