Tasting Notes
A sweet minty aroma at first was followed by perfumed, resinous tree sap while on the palate at first French strawberry custard tarts combining a deliciously buttery shortcrust pastry, a vanilla cream filling and fresh strawberries, but hold on – then came a real spicy kick of Thai fried chicken with a sweet chilli sauce, in the finish. After the addition of water, we made Götterspeise Waldmeister (‘fare of the gods’ - woodruff flavoured jelly) as well as raspberry and lemon syrup, while to taste salted caramel, crème caramel and a very berry red wine sangria with a good dash of blackberry liqueur.
