Starting April 13, the SMWS Blind Tasting Experience is back in the Benelux! Time to dive into the good stuff together. Discover why our whiskies taste the way they do, how wildly different they can be, and learn a bit more about how you taste and enjoy flavours.
Before we kick off, you’ll receive a box with twelve 2.5cl Society Cask whisky samples. (Please note: the samples will not be sent out immediately) All samples will be blind, of course — numbers on the labels, no hints. Just pure, unbiased tasting fun!
Over a three week period in april, you’ll explore four samples per week, entirely at your own pace. On the couch, in the garden, at the kitchen table… wherever your whisky moment happens.
Then, on three Friday evenings — April 17th, 24th, and May 1st — we’ll hop online with fellow members to chat about that week’s drams. You’ll find out what you tasted, why it tastes that way, and we’ll share tasting notes, impressions, and probably a few surprises. We’re also inviting some whisky experts to share extra flavour wisdom.
Can’t make one of the evenings? No stress. Watch it whenever you like and join the next session as usual. We’ll also email all the info so you can revisit everything.
The BTE isn’t a competition — it’s all about enjoying yourself and picking up a bit of knowledge along the way. But… for those who like a little challenge, you can guess what’s in the samples and compete for a nice prize. Multiple-choice, so everyone’s in the running.
