Tasting Notes
A fragrant summery aroma greeted the Panel, the scent conjuring a picturesque landscape of fields of barley ripening in the golden light of a warming sun alongside a garden with orchids in full bloom. What followed was a classic taste of summer: an Italian cocktail mixing a bitter aperitif, prosecco and soda. It was refreshingly sweet and sour, bitter, tart and tasty! Water added deeper notes of vanilla cream on apple pie, toffee sponge cake with glacé cherries and pears belle hélène. To taste we now moved to Austria, enjoying a glass of white wine spritzer made with grüner veltliner and sparkling mineral water.
