Sweet and treacly aromas blended marmalade, toffee and brandy butter with toasted nuts, banana and hints of shellfish on a sandy beach. Soft fruits on the palate combined peach, melon and mango while Armagnac complimented salted dark chocolate and burnt butter on popcorn. With water came maritime aromas of dried seaweed and barnacles on the pier with chimney soot and icing sugar on scorched fruit cake. Big fruity flavours now blended lychees, strawberries and banana with pink peppercorns and cinnamon spice, before herby sausages arrived with scorched marshmallows, charcoal and cereals soaked in antiseptic ointment.
